The Ministry

TeenStreet originated in Europe and has gone International… now landing in Australia. “Our goal is to work with the church to motivate and equip Christian teens to have a real friendship with Jesus so that they reflect Him daily in their world.”

The theme of Wild Kingdom takes Teens on an adventure through two areas…. Looking UP to God / and / Looking OUT to others. Through what we call our ‘Double Vision’ we cover the two vital areas of “my relationship with Jesus” and “Missions”

As opposed to simply teaching this from on stage, we must communicate with the Teens in ways they understand, so it goes home with them in their hearts and not just their notebooks.

How do we do this? Impact / Relationships / Empowerment

There is no point in creating another ‘retreat’ for teens without making sure that they are part of a positive community the year-round, so we want to work closely with their church and are especially seeking to partner with smaller, under-resourced churches and youth groups. Our hope is that they will benefit from resourcing, connecting & training at the event and throughout the year with TeenStreet 365.

Get Involved!

Though TeenStreet Australia will be held in Sydney for it’s Aussie launch in 2010, people from across the continent are welcome to come and join the experience.  Buses and trains are convenient from Brisbane and Melbourne, and this is a perfect excuse to gather a group for a roadtrip to Sydney!

You may be too old to attend TeenStreet as a teenager, but you’re never too old to be involved.  We need several dozen people sharing their gifts and skills to make TeenStreet the impacting event that it has proven to be.  There are various ways for people of different backgrounds and abilities to help serve the TeenStreet participants… and you’ll still have opportunities to join in the main programme as well, so you won’t miss out.  Nomatter how you are engaged in TeenStreet, you are sure to make new friends, have fun and be challenged to grow!
